5 days in the life of a cyclist
A brief snapshot of my last 5 days revolving around bikes, friends and family and bikes.
Saturday
Quality time with the Queen
Sunday
Catching the Train to Waterford after leaving the Carrick boys on the road to home. Had hoped for a LUAS but got a TGV instead.
Passing the Metalman almost 5 hours into the spin
The Copper Coast looking spectacular a little while later
The VEE was a welcome sight after almost 8 hours. Landed home with 250k done
Tuesday (New bike day – Giant TCR SL O)
UCI Limit of 6.8kg being demolished by this size Large TCR SL O
Even 8 year old Kate could lift it with one hand
I thought the battery was overheating but it was a false alarm
Wednesday
A great day to be out in the Tipperary Countryside
Tunnelling along with the An post CRC team in tow
Eoin leading the way towards the roads he knows best
The Comeragh Cows
The Magician reenacting the events of St. Patricks day in case anyone forgot who won that day.
Turkeys O’Donnell decided to give a demonstration on how best to use a clothes line mid spin as we set off in search of Brian Kenneally.
The roar went up ‘Whos been sitting in my chair’ and Turkeys flew away, almost forgetting his Gillet in the process. We never found Kenneally.
Then tragedy struck.
No Picture here.
A poor dog was knocked down and died in my hands when we all stopped to help it.
To end on a good note. This bike was incredible today. Super stiff yet soaked up the back road to Roubaix like it was on smooth tarmac. 10/10 so far……
