Sarah Dillon Memorial Cycle

Last April two loving parents said farewell to the most precious gift their lives had ever been graced with. A 9 year old little girl named Sarah Dillon left to fly with the angels. She may be gone, but her memory and the positive effects that she had on all who cared for her live on. To honour her memory the Tipperary branch of Down Syndrome Ireland are collaborating with Tour de Munster organiser Paul Sheridan to organise a memorial cycle which will coincide with a Tour de Munster training weekend in Clonmel.

Saturday February 28th and Sunday March 1st will offer cyclists of all abilities the opportunity to have a well organised enjoyable day out on the bike over terrain that can be as challenging as you would like to make it.

Registration is free but all donations to Tipperary Down Syndrome on the day will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who may be interested in taking part can just email Paul.sheridan08@gmail.com to help the organisers plan the logistics beforehand.

There will be a lunch stop in Kilkenny on the Saturday which will cost €10 for anyone who will welcome some hot soup and sandwiches and a bit of banter at the half way point.

These events tend to bring the very best out in people and the most common sight is always a smiling face. Taking part in a charity cycle like this will make you fitter, but the main thing is that it just makes you feel good about yourself too.
