Stephen Roche – Tour de cure !

We just received an email about this forthcoming event from organiser and Sprinter extraordinaire Aidan Crowley . Well worth marking into your diary . Here’s what Aidan had to say  ;

Hi Guys,

I have launched this event website, www.stephenrochetourdecure.comlately and finally managed to fill in all the details for all pages etc … please have a look at the site and send to anyone who you think would love to do this … choice of 3 Cycling Circuits, Summers Day, Fuel Stops along the way [what more would you like], it’s a Sportif/Sports Tour so all are welcome and its meant to be fun on the day on a Bike for all levels with all money raised going directly to the funds we select which will be signed off soon as they are under review. These programs will be associated with the Irish Cancer Society and the Diabetes Federation of Ireland so these charity groups will benefit.

We have had great support from our sponsors listed on the sponsors page, www.stephenrochetourdecure.com/sponsors.phpso many thanks to them for making this happen and if you know anyone else who would like to get involved, please let me know and I will contact them for anything….We intend to give out an entrants goodie bag, including event tee-shirt so all sponsors have an window to get to 500+ odd people for their product [and many more when they eat it, wear it, read it, use it etc].

We will be launching an Auctions Page, in the next week as we have some cool stuff, including a ‘Lance Armstrong’ Signed ‘Livestrong Jersey’, a few Bikes, TV’s ‘Tour of Ireland Passes’ for the August Professional Race and much more etc…..

More importantly, Stephen Roche is coming so I hope it’s a great day for all to see the legend he is and speak to him … he is delighted to be involved. We will be having a press launch in 2 weeks time most likely in Cork but again, just send to everyone you know please so this event gets out there.

My target is 500 bike riders of all levels, so word of mouth, advertising on irishcycling.com and PR releases to national and local media is how I intend to drive traffic to the site.
